somewhereto_ Dundee Launch

, at

If you are aged 16-25 and find it difficult to find a space to do the things you love doing, then the launch of this great new project somewhereto_ will be for you.

Equally, if you aren’t quite still in this age group, but have a space you’d like to see put to better use, then take a look too.

And that’s the beauty of somewhereto_ – it’s simple, it matches young people to good spaces!

Run by Livity, in partnership with Channel 4 and funded by Legacy Trust UK, it’s a national project to help young people find the (free) space they need to do the things they love within sport, culture and the arts.

The aim of somewhereto_ is straightforward too – to help improve the lives of thousands of young people and create thousands of success stories, today and in the future.

The somewhereto_ roadshow comes to Dundee on Thursday 9th February and Creative Dundee is delighted to be supporting the project alongside Fleet Collective, to showcase great local young talent. The launch event will feature artist Michael Corr, singer Sarah Coloso and much more!

They’re also looking for ambassadors to help on the day, and have an opportunity for a presenter and a film-maker to help the Dundee Channel film the event. They will also be setting up a somewhereto_ space which is open for young people to use. Exhibit artwork, perform poetry, do standup comedy, sew, make jewellery, or do whatever else you love. If you’d like to do anything at this event, get in touch with Rebecca from somewhereto_ rebecca.thompson@somewhereto.com

We look forward to seeing you there!

When? Thursday 9th February – 6-9pm

Where? Chambers East, Panmure Street, Dundee

It’s free, and unticketed, so get there early to avoid disappointment.
