Miscellaneous Enquiries are eight female Dundee based artists who will be providing an evening of sound, film and interventions, which sounds intriguing, at the Tayside Recycling Centre, Friday 12th March at 8.30pm. So head along for the music and pick yourself up a new sofa... presumably!

Central Station: Dundee

Glasgow based creative social network Central Station are coming to Dundee on the 6th of February and they want you to be there.

Exclusive - Ian Anderson (tDR) for NEoN 09

I have wanted to use the word 'exclusive' for a while now and I finally get the chance. Creative Dundee can confirm, first, that Ian Anderson (founder of one of the most influential Design Companies of the last 20 years, The Designers Republic) will be speaking at NEoN Digital Arts Festival in Dundee on Saturday 14th November.

Video Games Live - Tickets Now Available

Video Games Live is coming to Dundee in November as an extra part of NEoN Digital Arts Festival where they will kick off their European Tour.

Letham Nights

Ok, not strictly a Dundee event but everyone should leave the city once in a while. Letham Nights is a series of successful music events that take place in the small Fife village of, well, Letham (and not to be confused with Letham, Angus... as I did once). 

n_ilk at The Botanics

 n_ilk at The Botanics is an experimental Music and Arts festival that is taking place on the 12th September at the universities Botanic Gardens in Dundee, the programme will showcase a wide range of electronic and acoustic music from local artists.

NEoN Digital Arts Festival

The NEoN Digital Arts Festival has just been officially launched with the website going live with details of the speakers and some early tickets available at a reduced price. 

New Laeto Video (Ecuador)

Dundee based rock band Laeto have released a new video, god knows it's been like eons since they released anything and this popped up right out of the blue so I thought I would share it. Maybe this means we can expect a new album soon?

EDIT: The director of the video has this Flickr page, he took over 60,000 still images to make the video!

The track is called Ecuador and the video is produced by Sheep Films.

First Thurstday #2

Following the overwhelming success of the pilot event, that pulled together a wide range of digital media professionals from across Scotland, Interactive Tayside has announced it will make the gathering a regular feature in its already bustling roster of existing events, designed to raise the profile of digital media in Tayside.
